Torque DROIDZ View is ready to fight!
Now this is interesting. After Cherry Mobile launched Cherry Pad and Cherry Pad Turbo, Torque immediately fights back with their own Android tablet. The tablet wars is surely heating up. Let's have a look with Torque's DROIDZ View -- their 7" Android tablet.
Specifications:
• High-speed 800MHz CPU + 400MHz DSP
• Android 2.2 (Froyo)
• 7” screen w/ 2-point touch for easy zoom
• WiFi
• Superb sound
• High quality video playback
• 4-dimensional gravity sensor
• Storage: 2GB internal/32GB micro-SD slot
• VGA camera
• Multi-language support
• Over 100,000 apps from the Android Market
• Standby time: 10 hours, Video playback: 3 hours
DROIDZ View will be available at P4,999. And basing from the specifications, this tablet is positioned against Cherry Mobile's Cherry Pad. But the price difference of P1,100 beg to differ. We're still unsure if Torque's DROIDZ View is using resistive or capacitive screen. Torque did mention that DROIDZ View has a speedy and smooth touchscreen. It's an indication it might be using capacitive.
I surely want to get my hands on one of this to see how it stacks up against other 7" tablets. If you want to see the DROIDZ View in action, visit your nearest Torque Concept kiosks nationwide.

* UPDATE: Torque confirmed that DROIDZ View is using resistive touch screen. I wonder what's with the big P1,100 price difference against Cherry Pad wherein their specs are somewhat similar.
