Nokia Asha 200, 201, 300 and 303 announced!


Not only did Nokia announced a couple of Windows Phone handsets, Nokia added 4 low-end devices to its Series 40 lineup. Nokia said these handsets are designed for today's emerging markets. Introducing the Nokia Asha (which means hope in Hindi) family.

Nokia Asha 200/201 is designed for the young urban consumers. Asha 200 is a dual-sim handset with EasySwap while Asha 201 is just a single sim handset. Both integrates social networking, email and instant messaging services. It has a full QWERTY keyboard with a 2.4" QVGA display and expansion slot of up to 32GB. 


Nokia Asha 300 combines a 2.4" QVGA touch screen with an alphanumeric keypad powered by a 1GHz processor. This handset is 3G capable and comes with Nokia's web browser that compresses web pages by up to 90% for faster browsing. It also has a 5 megapixel camera, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.1 and Angry Birds Lite.


Nokia Asha 303 is also a 3G handset that combines a 2.6" QVGA capacitive touch screen with a full QWERTY keyboard. It also has a 1GHz processor, 3.2 megapixel camera, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1. It's also preloaded with Angry Birds Lite and various applications such as Facebook Chat, WhatsApp and Nokia Maps.


The Nokia Asha handsets will be available in Q4. Asha 200/201 is priced around $83 (around P3,5XX). Asha 300 is priced around $118 (around P5,XXX). Asha 303 is priced around $160 (around P6,9XX).
